The series, which revolves around a group of people trying to put up a Broadway musical about Marilyn Monroe, is scheduled to return for a second season on February 5, 2012, Tuesday.

Smash is created by Therese Rebeck, developed by NBC President Bob Greenblatt with Steven Spielberg as one of the executive producers.
