The finale of ABS-CBN’s primetime teleserye Princess and I topped last Friday’s national ratings.

The final episode registered 38.1%, the highest rated show for 2013 as of writing. The series which run for nine months has lorded its timeslot ever since. It was topbilled by Kathryn Bernardo, her follow-up primetime teleserye after her phenomenal stint in the remake of Mara Clara. She is joined by her loveteam Daniel Padilla, with teen idols Enrique Gil and Khalil Ramos, with veteran actors Gretchen Barretto and Albert Martinez.


The series tells the story of Mikay, a simple lass who grew up in the Philippines. Unbeknownst to her, she’s the missing princess of the fictional kingdom of Yangdon, based from the landlocked country of Bhutan.

Princess and I trumped rival Indio of GMA, which is in continuous decline in ratings. The Bong Revilla starrer hit its lowest national ratings since its premiere to 19.2%.
