The premiere of Coco Martin’s new fantaserye Juan Dela Cruz dominated primetime on Monday, and snatched the crown from Kapamilya teleserye Ina, Kapatid, Anak.
Juan Dela Cruz registered a whooping 36.5%, clobbering GMA’s historical drama Indio. The critically-acclaimed Kapuso drama registered only 16.5%, considerably down from its previous week’s ratings when it still hit the 20% mark. Fueled with stronger lead-in, Ina, Kapatid, Anak recorded 35.7%, far from its nearest competitor, GMA’s Pahiram ng Sandali‘s 16.1%.
The Kris Aquino, Robin Padilla, and Anne Curtis starrer Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw is seriously in trouble as it continue its downward spiral. The teleserye is considerably down compared to its lead-in. The teleserye got only 19.7%, a sharp drop with the mid-30s of Ina, Kapatid, Anak. GMA, on the other hand, has risen from its lackluster early primetime with Marian Rivera’s Temptation of Wife. The Filipino adaptation of the Korean drama with the same title has considerably grown from its lead-in to 17.6%.
