In a glittering televised gala held at the Karlin Musical Theater in the capital city of Prague, the 2015 queens to represent the Czech Republic in three of the four biggest pageants in the world were crowned.
Twenty-two year old Nikol Svantnerova was crowned Ceska Miss 2015 and will represent her country in the Miss Universe 2015 pageant which is expected to be held later this year. Andrea Kalousova, 18, won the Ceska Miss World 2015 title and shall compete in the Miss World 2015 pageant. Karolína Mališová, 18, on the other hand, clinched the third coveted crown Ceska Miss Earth 2015 and will compete in Miss Earth 2015 pageant.
The Czech Republic has already produced 1 Miss World (2006) and 1 Miss Earth (2012) winners. This eastern European nation has yet to clinch the highly coveted Miss Universe and Miss International crowns.
The Czech Miss pageant was formed in 1993 to select the Czech Republic’s representative to Miss Universe. In 2010 Česká Miss and its rival pageant, Miss České Republiky merged under the direction of Maláčová where two winners were selected. The Česká Miss 2010 winner competed in Miss Universe 2010 and Česká Miss World 2010 vied in Miss World 2010 while the first runner up competed in Miss Earth 2010 pageant.
Since 2011 the pageant selects three winners: Česká Miss, Česká Miss World, and Česká Miss Earth to compete in Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss Earth respectively.In 2012, it was a big success for the organization as for the first time, Czech Miss produced its first international winner Miss Earth 2012 Tereza Fajksová.
